Cheese Plus, an independently owned San Francisco business, has raised more than $15,000 for local small businesses displaced by the coronavirus pandemic and San Francisco shelter in place.
The initiative to sell t-shirts and tote bags, better known as Six Foot Social Club, was created by Cheese Plus to support fellow local businesses on Polk Street.
Since launching in early April, donations have poured in from the community to support a variety of local businesses and workers including chefs, artists, hairdressers, taxi drivers, and other small business owners unable to operate their businesses.
You can see their fundraising drives via Cheese Plus instagram. Their next drive features Fadi Berbery, owner of Smoke Signals Newsstand, recently featured in Phil Matier’s article.
