Whole Foods 365 at Planning Commission – UPDATE ON TIME
April 26, 2018 @ 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Getting some questions on expected start time on Thursday. Here is the response from our attorney-
I’d be surprised if we go before 6:00 unless some things get pulled off calendar ahead of us. Could be 7 or 8 before we are heard. So good for people after work, but could create child care conflicts for some.
Whole Foods Conditional Use Hearing is Set
Date: April 26, 2018
Time: 1:00 PM*
Place: City Hall, Room 400
The Conditional Use Hearing before the SF Planning Commission for the Whole Foods 365 grocery store proposed to occupy 1600 Jackson Street has been scheduled for Thursday, April 26. The Commission Meeting begins at 1:00 PM, Room 400, City Hall.
*The Agenda will not be available until next week and can be found on-line at that time at http://sf-planning.org/meetings/. Although the meeting itself begins at 1:00, the Agenda Items don’t usually start until about 1:30.
RHN is providing this information to its members because so many of you have expressed your strong support for this project over the past two years. We encourage you, as an individual, to let the Planning Commission know your views by:
- Writing a letter (if you have not already done so)
- Appearing and speaking at the April 26 hearing
We have been advised that it is very important for those in favor to show up at the hearing and express their support.
You will be asked to fill out a speaker card and wait until your name is called. Although the usual time limit is 3 minutes, this can be reduced when there are many who want to speak.
Make your most important points right away.
If you plan to attend, let us know by emailing email@example.com. We will do our best to share in advance any information we have regarding the timing of the Whole Foods conditional use Agenda Item.
Many of you have already sent letters to the Planning Commissioners. RHN’s Board of Directors submitted an original letter of support in April 2016 and has recently sent a second letter of support, a copy of which is provided here for your information.
Whether you are for or against this project, we urge you to make your views known to the Planning Commissioners. If you have not yet submitted a letter, the time to do so is now. To be included in the meeting packet, letters must be received eight days prior to the hearing date. Correspondence submitted to the Planning Commission after eight days in advance of a hearing must be received by the Commission Secretary no later than the close of business the day before a hearing to become a part of the public record for any public hearing. For your convenience, here are the email addresses to which letters should be directed to:
