The DZLU Committee met in August 2015; some of the issues discussed include:
2215 LEAVENWORTH
The Historic Preservation Commission denied the application for landmark status for 2215 Leavenworth, and advised that possibly this property could contribute to the historic value of the collection of similarly dated, adjacent structures.
2215 LEAVENWORTH
After a long and valiant effort, the property owners were unsuccessful in their latest battle: seeking a rehearing at the Board of Appeals to stop the addition of a wireless antenna, and accompanying equipment, on the wooden pole in front of their home.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR MAINTENANCE OF STREET TREES
FUF (Friends of the Urban Forest) contacted DZLU seeking support for their campaign to transfer responsibility for the maintenance of street trees from the adjacent property owners to the City. DZLU intends to invite FUF to our next meeting to hear the details of their plan.
