Central Police Report Feb 27

Twice a year, Officers are allowed to sign up for shifts based on their seniority. Although I look closely at where Officers are deployed on a daily basis, the semi-annual sign up provides me with an opportunity to look at staffing and deployment throughout the entire station and make significant adjustments if necessary.  I am pleased to announce that we will be expanding our plainclothes team from 1 Sergeant and 4 Officers to 2 Sergeants and 6 Officers. This will allow us to run a full time plainclothes Officer team, who will work to capture those who commit Robberies, Burglaries, Auto Burglaries, Bicycle Thefts, Retail Thefts, Pickpocketing and many other offenses. I look forward to their great work!  In addition, I will be adding two additional Officers to Fisherman’s Wharf. This will total 4 fulltime Officers dedicated to address quality of life issues there. Read Central Police Report
