Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Thank you for all of your support of Russian Hill Neighbors! Please note that we recently sent out our second batch of membership renewal forms. If you have not yet renewed, please try to do so prior to our Annual Meeting at the end of this month.
Please note our Annual Meeting will be held on April 24th, 2014, from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM at the Old First Presbyterian Church at 1751 Sacramento St (and Van Ness). The format of the meeting will be slightly different than in previous years:
- 6:00 – 6:45 – Social hour with food and drinks. Several city groups will have tables set up at the meeting to discuss their organizations with our members, including: NexTstop, the Francisco Reservoir Working Group, Friends of the Urban Forest, SF PUC, NEXT Village, Friends of Joe DiMaggio Park, SF SAFE, and the North Beach Library.
- 6:45 – 7:30 – General RHN Membership Meeting. All members are welcome to interact with the RHN Board about any of our neighborhood issues.
- 7:30 – 8:30 – Panel on Neighborhood Improvement and Transportation, featuring our Supervisors and local police captains. There will be a Q&A session for the panel, with questions pre-submitted at the start of the meeting.
We truly hope all of our members can attend the meeting!
We will hold our monthly Street Sweep on Saturday, April 12th, meeting at La Paloma Café on the corner of Union and Leavenworth at 9:30am. La Paloma will be providing breakfast to the volunteers, so please come by to pitch in and meet some new neighbors!
March was a busy month for RHN and the several large city projects on which we are working. Meetings were held for the updated proposals for the Polk St Improvement Project and for District 3’s Participatory Budgeting. If you have an idea for a participatory budgeting proposal, please don’t hesitate to contact us at RHN.
All the best,
Dan Holligan
