Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Thank you for all of your support of Russian Hill Neighbors! It has been a couple months since I have written an update on RHN, and a lot has transpired in that time.
In April, we held our Annual Meeting with roughly 80 members in attendance – thank you to everyone who participated! We had a lively conversation on a number of topics, and had members of DPW, SFMTA, Supervisor Farrell, members of Supervisor Chiu’s staff, our police captains, and many more civic leaders in attendance. The main topics were Neighborhood Improvement, Traffic, and of course, Safety.
We at RHN recently weighed in on a number of issues, including: the Polk St Improvement Project, new restaurant openings in our neighborhood, multiple Design, Zoning, and Land Use projects, the Hyde Street Trees, and many more. We also started organizing a meeting this fall with SFMTA Director of Transportation Ed Reiskin to go over their Transportation 2030 plan for the city. Please be on the lookout for further details for this meeting.
We will hold our monthly Street Sweep on Saturday, June 14th, meeting at La Paloma Café on the corner of Union and Leavenworth at 9:30am. La Paloma will be providing BREAKFAST to the volunteers, so please come by to pitch in and meet some new neighbors!
We will also be holding our next Cheers event at the Bell Tower on Monday, June 30th. Come by for a drink and mingle with some new friends!
Go A’s and Go Giants!!!
All the best,
Dan Holligan
