Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Thank you for all of your support of Russian Hill Neighbors!
As we roll into the fall, RHN remains very active on a number of important city-wide issues. Transportation is particularly busy, with a number of important issues being planned and discussed. Our board recently met with SFMTA Head Ed Reiskin to discuss a number of these issues, including the Central Subway, Van Ness BRT, Polk St, Columbus St and Lombard St. We will remain vigilant in our monitoring as these projects progress.
One specific issue we have been working on is the new apartment building at 1111 – 1133 Green St. We have heard from many of our members and other neighbors that there have been a lot of noise complaints and late night disturbances. RHN has worked closely with SFPD to try to alleviate the issue. If you have also been affected by the new building, please let us know.
I’d like to welcome our new Merchant Liaison, Par Hanji, to the RHN Board. She is looking forward to getting to know our merchant members better and fostering new relationships with the other merchants in our Neighborhood. Welcome aboard, Par!
Our next Cheers event will be at 6pm on October 16th at Taps on Broadway and Polk St. Hope to see you there!
Lastly, we are looking to add a couple new members to our board to fill vacant Secretary, Membership, and Vice President positions; please reach out to me (email Dan) if you are interested in getting more involved!
Go A’s and Go Giants!!!
All the best,
Dan Holligan
