Last night, we hosted our monthly Community Meeting in North Beach at the North Beach Library. A special thanks to Mike Madrid who is a member of my Community Police Advisory Board and Officer Ed Carew who work together to schedule and coordinate the meetings.  To see what has been going on read Central Police Report.

There is a significant problem developing in Macondray Lane between Jones and Leavenworth
Police have come several times but there is need of concerted effort between police,Homeless outreach and public health.
Is there anything RHN could do to help this growing problem

    Thank you

      Hi
I hear your problem and definitely empathize with you. I am on the Central Police Station Community Police Advisory Board (CPAB). We meet monthly with Capt Lazar of Central and bring up issues that need to be addressed in our various neighborhoods. We just met this past Weds. He did inform me that he is doing a Homeward Bound outreach program this month to assist some of the homeless. Can you be more specific on some of the issues. Are they homeless related? Roughly what dates did you call and what number? I can highlight the issues to Capt Lazar. Also there is a community meeting he holds coming up this Feb 19 at the Carlton Hotel on Sutter. This would be a great opportunity to address him directly and hear the challenges he faces dealing with the homeless. See the events on the website for more detail http://www.rhnsf.org. I am going out of town for about a week but will have access to email.
