Hi everyone,
The Pumpkin Festival and Parade yesterday was a HUGE success! I had prepped the merchants in the morning that we had received about 70 RSVPs so probably 40 or so kids would participate, but I think there were at least 100 kids + tons of parents + many pets out along the parade route from 3-5pm. The clouds blew away and it was a beautiful, sunny afternoon. Perfect conditions! Julia, Shanead, and the entire Cole Hardware team brought pumpkins, games, popcorn, water, and wine to Glammic. Jena at Glammic was generous to let kids decorate pumpkins inside of her store and hangout outside. RHN donated extra decorations for the pumpkins, candy for the jar guessing game, and hula hoops. I also made sure the merchants had an orange balloon in front of their shops and were prepped and ready for the day.
23 merchants participated, including:
FLIPP, Crunch, La Folie, Split (the new restaurant opening at Green/Polk), Cole Hardware, Russian Hill Bookstore, Boy’s Deli, Glammic, CRAVE, Bow Wow Meow, Backstage Salon, Walgreens, Nick’s Tacos, Dakshin, Fairyland Spa, Peet’s Coffee, Starbucks, The Candy Store, Bullitt, Green’s, William Cross Wine Merchant, Project Juice, and Biondivino.
