Picnic in the ‘hood

Russian Hill Neighbors held a neighborhood picnic on June 22. The day started out with members of the neighborhood sweep meeting at 9:30 to spruce up the neighborhood. Then the sweep team and other RHN members met at Teepee Park on Hyde at noon for hamburgers, hot dogs, side dishes, lemonade and socializing. A big thanks to Sarah Taber for the great job in pulling together this great event and Julia Strzesieski from Cole’s Hardware for helping (plus bringing tables and other supplies from  Cole’s Hardware). Another big thanks to Ian Maddison our “chef” who cooked up the food in his back yard (next door to the park). And more thanks to Phoebe Douglass, Tina Moylan, Emily Harrold, Greg Polchow and Joyce Kucharvy for their help. Forty-five folks attended, a good time was had by all. We plan to make this an annual event!
