Friends, Neighbors, and Merchants,
2015 is well underway and looking to be a productive year for RHN.
First, I want to send a heartfelt thank you to our outgoing President, Dan Holligan. The board, neighbors, and community as a whole benefited from your service to this organization – thank you for your years of dedication.
There are also a few congratulatory notes in order! I would first like to congratulate recently appointed District 3 Supervisor Julie Christensen, a public official representing part of Russian Hill. We look forward to working with Supervisor Christensen this year. I would also like to congratulate one of RHN’s own, Stephen Taber on his appointment as District 3 representative to the MTA’s citizens advisory council.
We continue to play an active role in the development of the Polk Street Improvement Project and advocating for the Central Subway’s possible extension to Fisherman’s Wharf. We will also continue with our monthly Street Sweep program, and work to support our neighborhood parks and trees.
Thank you to everyone who attended January’s “Cheers!” event at one of Russian Hill’s newest additions – Union Larder. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet you are missing out!
We have received many membership renewals from you over the past several months – THANK YOU very much for your continued support and participation. If you have not yet returned your membership forms or renewed online, please make sure to do so! We can’t accomplish our goals without you.
Lastly, we are looking to fill vacant roles on our Board of Directors. Are you interested in getting more involved in your neighborhood? Do you have fresh, new ideas to improve our community? We are looking for you! Do not hesitate to contact us if you are interested in joining this dynamic team!
With San Francisco love,
Erica Kwiatkowski
