Dear Neighbors and Friends,
Thank you to all who joined us on June 29 for our first ever Annual Meeting via Zoom. It was wonderful to see your faces and be together for an evening.
We had a few technical hiccups but the responses to our recent survey indicate that you liked being in touch this way as a membership. For those who experienced technical challenges, your feedback has been very helpful as we begin to plan subsequent meetings.
Approximately 70 Russian Hill households joined the meeting. We received 21 responses to our post-meeting survey that rated the evening event an average 4.25 on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the highest. The presentation from the Francisco Park Conservancy (FPC) was rated 4.55 on the same scale – clearly this is an important issue for our neighborhood. Many complimented our Dinner on the Hill project, noting that it “promotes RHN values” and is a “very positive program serving residents, members and merchants.”
(If you missed the meeting, you can view recordings of both the Business Meeting and the FPC presentation by clicking ANNUAL MEETING.)
As a result of suggestions from many of you that we schedule more such meetings, the Board and our committees are considering topics for future meetings. Do you have a suggestion? Please email your ideas to me at president@rhnsf.org.
We also need your help on our committees. Many of the responses indicate that you want to see more virtual social events, an expansion of Dinner on the Hill to other businesses, expanded mechanical street cleaning and more virtual events. These can only happen via our volunteer committees. If you want to join us, please contact me or go to the website and choose the Volunteer Tab. We can have a conversation and I will assist in matching your interests with an appropriate committee. As a result, you will meet your neighbors and make new friends.
Thank you for your membership and your friendship. Keep well. Keep safe.
Carol Ann Rogers, President
