President’s June Letter

June 10, 2015 by communications Leave a Comment

Dear Friends, Neighbors and Merchants,

As usual, June is a busy month in San Francisco. We have graduations, weddings, the Pride Parade, 4th Thursday RHN Families with Children meet and greet at Michelangelo Park and many monthly recurring events. Off the grid comes to mind as a great outdoor and food event that occurs at Fort Mason, the Presidio and other locations. Check calendar on the web page for all revolving and new events.

Our Committees are all busy working on projects and planning events. DZLU continues to get involved in land use issues all over Russian Hill. Richard Cardello is very busy these days juggling the large DZLU projects with the large committee of volunteers. They do an extraordinary job in their mission. Joyce Kucharvy and the Social Committee have events in the planning stages through the end of 2015. The first W&D was a great success and sold out. Emily Harrold is hard at work with SFPD & Rec and Park planning a Safety Fair for Children in early fall at Helen Wills Playground. I heard the SFPD Tactical Unit will be demonstrating various procedures and also bringing a few horses! I think adults will have as much fun as the kids!

The RHN Board will hold our Annual Retreat in August and tackle three topics with break out groups. Do you have a suggestion for a topic? Please email me and I shall compile the top requests and those will be our topics. I have heard from many members on Safety Concerns and will be meeting with SFPD & SF SAFE about hosting a D3 Safety Fair in September with city officials as well as partners SFPD & SF SAFE.

Hot WARRIORS and warm regards,

Tina Moylan
